Mammotion Introduces Tri-Fusion Navigation at IFA 2025

Mammotion is making a high-profile showing at IFA 2025 in Berlin with the introduction of its Tri-Fusion Positioning System, a navigation platform that merges LiDAR, RTK satellite guidance, and AI-powered 3D vision into one cohesive system. After nearly a decade of development at its Atlas Lab, the company claims it is the first to achieve seamless three-way sensor integration in robotic lawn care, pushing precision down to ±1 cm.

Breaking Past the Limits of Single-Sensor Mowers

Robotic lawn mowers have evolved from the days of buried boundary wires to wire-free navigation powered by sensors and satellite data. Each approach has strengths but also clear weaknesses: LiDAR can provide highly accurate mapping in smaller yards but falters in open areas without reflective surfaces, while RTK signals are vulnerable to trees, buildings, or other obstructions. Camera-driven vision systems can handle obstacles and shading but lack consistent reliability in wide or complex spaces.

By merging all three into a single intelligent system, Mammotion’s Tri-Fusion platform adapts on the fly, dynamically shifting between LiDAR, RTK, and vision as conditions change. Whether a lawn is shaded, uneven, or dotted with obstacles, the mower maintains stable centimeter-level accuracy. Setup is simplified, too, as supported regions don’t require boundary wires or external base stations, reducing installation headaches for homeowners.

Jayden Wei, Mammotion’s CEO, said the breakthrough brings flexibility to users across the spectrum: “Whether you have a compact city garden or a sprawling countryside lawn, it delivers high-accuracy mowing in any environment, sunlit or shaded, open or obstructed, flat or hilly.”

LUBA Mini AWD LiDAR Debuts with Tri-Fusion

The LUBA mini AWD LiDAR is the first robotic mower to feature Tri-Fusion. Built for lawns up to 1,500 m², the all-wheel-drive mower maps and mows with professional-level accuracy, even on slopes up to 80%. It supports multi-zone management, avoids obstacles with advanced 3D mapping, and sets up with a simple tap-and-go process. Launched in the EU on June 30, 2025, at €2,299, the mower will roll out to the U.S. and U.K. at a later date. An over-the-air update will unlock Tri-Fusion capability for current units.

Expanding the Lineup: Vision, AWD, and Pools

Mammotion isn’t stopping with a single mower. At IFA, the company is highlighting several models that showcase its design and mechanical range:

  • YUKA mini Vision – A drop-and-go mower designed for small to medium-sized gardens. With triple-camera AI, it automatically maps the yard, trims edges, and avoids obstacles as small as 5×5 cm. It handles slopes up to 45% and requires no setup. Priced at €1,199, it launched in the EU on August 15, 2025.
  • LUBA 2 AWD – Honored by TIME as one of the Best Inventions of 2024, this mower targets larger properties. It covers up to 10,000 m², climbs slopes up to 80%, and supports 60 configurable mowing zones. Its UltraSense AI Vision and RTK mapping remove the need for wires, delivering high-capacity performance starting at $2,599 | £2,699 | €2,599.
  • SPINO E1 – Mammotion’s debut in pool robotics, offering cordless cleaning with 5,800 GPH suction power, a triple motor system, and up to 3.5 hours of runtime. It scrubs floors, walls, and waterlines using SmartArc path planning, with pre-orders now open at $599/£599/€599.
