Lockly is stepping up its smart home game with four new security products that go well beyond the company’s traditional door lock expertise. The brand’s CES 2026 lineup includes Matter-compatible smart locks, an app-free property management system, a security camera that keeps recording even when offline, and an upgraded biometric safe.
Affirm Series Brings Matter to the Front Door
The Affirm Series marks Lockly’s first foray into Matter-compatible smart locks, available in both deadbolt and latch configurations. These locks ditch the hub requirement with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, delivering real-time status updates directly through the Lockly Home app.
What sets the Affirm Series apart is its dual approach to access. Users can tap physical or digital NFC key cards imported into their phone’s wallet, or stick with the familiar numeric keypad for PIN entry. This flexibility makes the locks appealing to both tech enthusiasts and those who prefer traditional methods.

Installation is designed for DIY homeowners and short-term rental operators, with both the Affirm Series Deadbolt and Latch editions priced at $179.99. Availability is set for late Q2 2026.
TapCom Platform Eliminates the App Download Dance
Perhaps the most intriguing addition is Lockly’s patent-pending TapCom platform, which tackles a genuine pain point in short-term rental management. Guests can check in, unlock doors, video chat with hosts, and access property information simply by tapping an NFC device or scanning a QR code—no app downloads or Wi-Fi connections required.
The system plays well with others, supporting existing Lockly devices plus major brands like Yale and Schlage, with more compatibility in the works. TapCom Pro adds features for larger properties, including multi-phone access sharing and temporary digital codes.
The base TapCom system is available now for $19.99, with optional subscription tiers TapCom Blue ($1.99 monthly) and TapCom Pearl ($3.99 monthly) unlocking additional functionality.
OwlGuard Camera Keeps Watch When the Internet Goes Dark

The OwlGuard Security Camera addresses a critical weakness in many smart security systems: what happens when connectivity fails? Using PIR-based motion sensing, this camera continues recording essential events even when disconnected from the internet.
The camera delivers 2K resolution through a wide-angle lens with Starlight color night vision for clear footage in various lighting conditions. A 1.54-inch IPS color display shows battery status and device information at a glance, while smart AI detection distinguishes between humans, pets, and vehicles to minimize false alerts.
Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility rounds out the feature set, along with a rechargeable battery and USB-C charging for flexible placement. Optional accessories include sunshades, privacy covers, and solar power supplies. The OwlGuard will be available in Q2 2026 for $99.
Smart Safe XL Upgrades Biometric Security

The Smart Safe XL significantly expands storage capacity to 380mm x 300mm while featuring advanced 3D fingerprint biometric technology that unlocks in as fast as 0.2 seconds. The AI-enhanced fingerprint sensor supports multiple stored prints and includes a clever Duress Finger Alert feature that discreetly signals distress when a designated finger is used under pressure.
Multiple entry methods include dual keypad modes, fingerprint access, and smartphone app control. Twin Credential Opening requires two verification methods for enhanced security, while built-in Wi-Fi enables remote access and real-time notifications through the Lockly Home app.
The safe integrates with other Lockly products, including TapCom for guest authentication and smart locks for automated access sequences. It can also trigger instant camera recording when tamper alerts are detected. Premium steel alloy construction supports dual power options through 8 AA batteries or USB-C input.
The Smart Safe XL launches in international markets in Q2 2026 for $339.99, with U.S. availability following in Q3 2026.
Lockly’s expanded product lineup demonstrates the company’s evolution from a smart lock manufacturer to a comprehensive property technology provider. More details about the new products can be found on the official Lockly website.
