Dangbei Introduces Portable and Home Projector Highlights at CES 2025

CES 2025 is the place to see where technology is headed, and Dangbei is making its mark with two new projectors designed for very different lifestyles. Whether you’re all about backyard movie nights or a cinematic setup at home, the Freedo and MP1 Max aim to meet those needs with thoughtful features and strong performance.

Dangbei has packed both devices with just the right mix of tech and usability, showing a knack for creating products that fit seamlessly into everyday life. Let’s break down what they’re bringing to the table—and maybe the wall, ceiling, or tent.

Dangbei Freedo: Small Package, Big Entertainment

Dangbei has introduced the Freedo, an ultra-portable projector designed for convenience and versatility. Equipped with Google TV, the Freedo provides a user-friendly interface for accessing popular streaming platforms.

Its built-in battery offers up to 2.5 hours of playback, making it a practical option for outdoor movie nights or flexible setups around the house. The device supports Type-C fast charging, ensuring it stays powered during extended use, even with a power bank.

Weighing less than a typical laptop, the Freedo is engineered for portability. It features an adjustable stand with a 165° tilt range, allowing for smooth projection on walls, ceilings, or wherever users need. This design is complemented by Dangbei’s InstanPro AI Image Setup, which provides autofocus and real-time keystone correction to streamline setup.

Despite its compact size, the Freedo delivers 450 ISO lumens brightness, 1080p resolution, and a color range covering more than 90% of the DCI-P3 gamut, offering a sharp and vibrant viewing experience. The built-in 360° surround sound adds to its appeal for on-the-go entertainment.

The Freedo will launch on January 7, 2025, with a special price of $439 on Amazon and Dangbei’s US website. Its release in the UK and EU is scheduled for March 2025.

Dangbei MP1 Max: Home Theater Innovation

For those seeking an advanced home cinema experience, Dangbei has announced the MP1 Max. This high-performance projector features a hybrid LED and tri-color laser light source that ensures vivid colors and sharp image quality. Its 3100 ISO lumens brightness makes it suitable for use even in well-lit rooms. Combined with an expanded color gamut that covers 110% of BT.2020 and D65-calibrated color settings, the MP1 Max provides a professional-level visual experience.

This model also integrates a gimbal stand with 135° vertical tilt and full 360° horizontal rotation, enabling projection onto various surfaces with ease. Enhanced by the latest InstanPro AI Image Setup 2.0, users benefit from improved autofocus, keystone correction, and other adjustments for optimal viewing without manual input. Connectivity options include HDMI (with eARC), USB 3.0, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2, catering to gamers, streamers, and home theater enthusiasts.

The MP1 Max is expected to launch globally in the first half of 2025. While the CES showcase features Dangbei’s proprietary OS, the worldwide version will include Google TV, aligning with Dangbei’s recent projector models.
