BOOX Adds a Splash of Color to Its E Ink Lineup with Mira Pro (Color Version)

Just days after announcing its Go 7 series, BOOX has launched the Mira Pro (Color Version), a 25.3-inch color E Ink monitor designed for professionals, students, and other screen-heavy users who want a more eye-friendly display without giving up color. Priced at $1,899.99, the new model builds on the monochrome Mira Pro’s foundation with the introduction of Kaleido 3 color ePaper technology.

Paper-Like Display Meets Vivid Color

The Mira Pro (Color Version) features a large 25.3-inch Kaleido 3 screen capable of displaying 4096 colors and 16 levels of grayscale. This combination allows for tasks that benefit from subtle color differentiation, like editing graphics, reviewing data dashboards, or organizing color-coded notes, without the eyestrain common with traditional backlit monitors.

Despite the move to color, the monitor retains the hallmark clarity and paper-like comfort of E Ink. The dual-tone front light ensures visibility across different lighting environments, and the expansive screen real estate allows for effective multitasking, including side-by-side document viewing.

Refresh Tech for a Smoother Workflow

BOOX’s proprietary Super Refresh (BSR) technology is on board to reduce ghosting and improve refresh speed. Users can toggle between four refresh modes optimized for reading, typing, browsing, or even video playback. The Mira software adds customization options such as Refresh Speed, Dark Color Enhancement, and Light Color Filter adjustments for tailored screen performance.

Built for Versatility and Comfort

Connectivity is covered with five ports (HDMI, Mini HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort, and DC) making it easy to plug into laptops, desktops, tablets, and even phones. Compatibility spans across major operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and iPadOS.

The monitor’s ergonomic stand allows height, tilt, and pivot adjustments, and it includes VESA mount support for flexible installation. Rounding things out are built-in dual speakers that deliver respectable sound for both work and casual use.

Availability

The BOOX Mira Pro (Color Version) is available now for $1,899.99. More details can be found on the official BOOX website.
