BMX Debuts at IFA Berlin With Safer Power Banks, Smart SSDs, and Travel Tech

BMX (Better Mobile eXperience), the new accessories brand created by the team behind Hyper, has made its debut at IFA Berlin 2025 with a full lineup of mobile gear. From solid-state power banks to ultra-compact SSDs, GaN chargers, and FindMy-enabled travel accessories, BMX is stepping into the market with a safety-first and design-focused approach.

The star of the showcase is SolidSafe, a new class of solid-state power banks designed to reduce the fire risks linked to conventional lithium-ion cells. Unlike traditional packs, SolidSafe batteries use solid-state cells with minimal liquid electrolyte, making them safer and still airline-approved. The models currently on Kickstarter (campaign runs until September 14) include:

  • SolidSafe 5K Magnetic — 5,000mAh, 15W wireless, USB-C 20W out / 15W in, lanyard USB-C cable, LCD display, $79.99 MSRP.
  • SolidSafe 10K Magnetic — 10,000mAh, 15W wireless, dual USB-C 30W out / 27W in, LCD display, $99.99 MSRP.
  • SolidSafe 10K Magnetic + microSD — adds expandable phone storage via microSD slot, $129.99 MSRP.

For creators, BMX introduced ByteSize Micro SSDs, ultra-compact drives that snap under iPhones without blocking rigs or gimbals. Available later this year, ByteSize comes in sizes up to 2TB with up to 1050MB/s read / 950MB/s write speeds. Models include the ByteSize Ultra (1TB/2TB with FindMy and fingerprint security), ByteSize Pro (1TB/2TB), and the pocket-sized ByteSize (256GB/512GB, $TBA).

Charging is getting a refresh too. The GaNsta AI GaN chargers use smart cooling and feature built-in LCD displays to show real-time wattage and temperature. Available Q4 2025, the lineup spans:

  • GaNsta 140W 4-Port Charger — $99.99
  • GaNsta 100W 4-Port Charger — $79.99
  • GaNsta 70W 3-Port Charger — $49.99
  • GaNsta 45W 2-Port Charger — $39.99

Finally, BMX’s Saffiano Collection blends vegan saffiano leather with Apple FindMy tracking. The range includes a passport wallet ($49.99 / $54.99 with zipper), watch roll ($49.99), slim wallet ($39.99), key organizer ($49.99), and luggage tag ($24.99) — all Qi or USB-C rechargeable.
