Amazon Unveils New Additions to Fire TV Lineup: Omni Mini-LED, Soundbar Plus, and a Redesigned 4-Series

Amazon this week broadened its Fire TV offerings, introducing the Omni Mini-LED Series, a refreshed Fire TV 4-Series, and a new Soundbar Plus Series.

Building on a decade of Fire TV innovation, Amazon’s latest models incorporate enhanced visuals, upgraded sound, and expanded smart capabilities. Since the launch of Fire TV in 2014 (ten years already!), more than 250 million devices have been sold worldwide, with Amazon aiming to create TVs that emphasize content accessibility and voice-driven interaction.

Omni Mini-LED Series: Amazon’s Top-Tier TV

The Omni Mini-LED Series is Amazon’s most advanced Fire TV yet, featuring a QLED Mini-LED display that achieves up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness and includes 1,344 dimming zones for deeper blacks and richer contrast. With Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive support, this model delivers vivid detail across a wide range of content types.

Among its innovations, the Omni Mini-LED offers Intelligent Picture technology, which uses AI-driven sensors to analyze and enhance scenes in real-time, adjusting brightness and color to suit different environments, from dimly lit rooms to daylight settings. Users can also navigate the Fire TV Ambient Experience, which displays interactive artwork and helpful information when the TV is idle. New motion-sensitive art features, including scenes of koi fish or fluttering butterflies, dynamically respond to movement in front of the screen.

For gamers, this series introduces AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate, Variable Refresh Rate, and Auto Low Latency Mode to reduce visual artifacts and input lag. Future-proofing connectivity, the Omni Mini-LED comes with Wi-Fi 6E support, ensuring smoother streaming on compatible networks.

Another new feature, Dual Audio, will support Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA), allowing hearing aid users to enjoy synchronized audio with others listening through the TV’s speakers.

Fire TV Soundbar Plus Series: Customized Home Theater Sound

The Fire TV Soundbar Plus Series expands on Amazon’s popular soundbar lineup, bringing immersive audio with a 3.1-channel setup that includes Dolby Atmos, DTS, and DTS TruVolume for precise sound reproduction. A customizable Dialogue Enhancer setting is included to improve clarity in conversations, and the soundbar’s 37-inch profile is built with four preset modes to adapt to different types of content: Movie, Music, Sports, and Night.

Users can further build out their home theater setup by pairing the soundbar with Amazon’s new wireless subwoofer or adding wireless surround sound speakers, available in bundles or as standalone options. The setup is streamlined through HDMI ARC/eARC compatibility.

Redesigned Fire TV 4-Series

Amazon’s 4-Series, one of its most popular smart TVs, now boasts a sleek, ultra-slim bezel that minimizes distraction for a more focused viewing experience. It continues to support 4K UHD resolution and HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Digital sound, providing a well-rounded option for users seeking quality without frills.

All new devices are available today on Amazon, including the Fire TV Stick HD. Ambient Experience’s interactive art and Dual Audio capabilities are expected soon for the Omni Mini-LED Series. More details on these models are available at amazon.com/firetv.
