Zepp Health’s signature brand, Amazfit, has arrived at CES 2026 with a refreshed focus on high-performance sports technology. Moving beyond simple step-tracking, the brand is showcasing a cohesive ecosystem designed to support serious athletes through a blend of sophisticated hardware and data-driven insights.
To demonstrate this “ecosystem-first” strategy, Amazfit has enlisted the help of world-class athletes like Derrick Henry and Gabby Thomas to highlight how their technology functions in high-stakes training environments.
A New Approach to Nutritional Intelligence
One of the most intriguing reveals is the V1TAL Food Camera, an early-stage concept that redefines how athletes track their intake. Rather than viewing food simply as calories, the V1TAL concept treats nutrition as a vital performance metric.
The device is designed to capture the context of eating—observing not just the contents of a plate, but also the timing and behavioral patterns of fueling. This data is intended to sync directly with the Zepp App, sitting alongside heart rate and recovery stats to give a 360-degree view of an athlete’s physical state. While currently a prototype, it signals Amazfit’s intent to dominate the “fueling” side of sports tech.
Enhancing Runner Focus with Heads-Up Displays
For endurance athletes, Amazfit introduced the Helio Glasses concept. These lightweight, impact-resistant glasses are designed to solve the common problem of wrist-glancing during high-speed runs or cycles.
By projecting real-time data like pace, navigation, and heart rate onto a minimalist heads-up display, the glasses allow runners to keep their eyes on the road. Engineered to survive the sweat and duration of a full marathon, the Helio Glasses act as a secondary screen for an Amazfit smartwatch. While still in the engineering phase, Zepp Health is eyeing a potential commercial release in late 2026.
The Next Evolution of the Active Series
While much of the showcase focused on the future, the brand also launched a tangible update to its current lineup: the Active Max. This new addition to the Active family emphasizes bigger across the board, featuring:
- Expanded 1.5-inch Display: A brighter, larger screen for easier mid-workout viewing.
- Enhanced Endurance: A battery life reaching up to 24 days on a single charge.
- Rugged Versatility: 5 ATM water resistance and over 170 sport modes.
- Increased Storage: More room for data and apps directly on the wrist.
The Active Max is positioned as a high-utility mid-range option, available on Amazfit website for $169.
