T-Mobile Reports Big Q1 Numbers
Written by AndroidGuys • May 9th, 2008 • Category: Carrier News, Recent NewsT-Mobile’s Q1 results were better than expected as they were able to add 981,000 net new customers, and when added to the customers acquired through the SunCom deal it brought their total Q1 growth to 2.1 million! Reaching the 30 million customer milestone is a big deal for any character, and we’re happy to see at least one of the OHA service providers thriving leading up to the launch of Android.
T-Mobile also reported a reduction in churn (customers leaving) of 1.7% which is down from 1.9% this time last year. They also reported in increase in service revenue of 14% over the Q1 of 2007. You can read the complete article here at Telephony Online. My Faves, Flex Pay, and their new @Home Service have all contributed to their success and we see no reason why this will not continue well into 2008. It should also be noted that T-Mobile’s retail stores have once again captured the JD Powers & Associates award for customer service once again.
It’s interesting that T-Mobile has done very little to quell the rumors of a Sprint buy out. By now we usually hear more than the typical “we don’t comment on rumors or speculation” line. Perhaps something is in the works after all?

Can we expect data/voice/Internet/broadband/MaxWiFi plans and better voice reception/transmission through SunCom?
Thanks,
