TuneWiki for Android

Written by AndroidGuys • May 8th, 2008 • Category: Recent News, Software News

If you’ve got one of the iPhones that have been set free with a jailbreak, you’re likely to be familiar with TuneWiki. It’s a media player that’s been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times since it was released at the end of 2007. One of the features that sets TuneWiki apart from other media players is a karaoke-like display of lyrics while the songs play. They’ve officially hooked up with Universal to provide lyrics and they are in talks with other major labels as well. Naturally, this program would be a perfect fit for Android phones.

Coming soon, TuneWiki for Android will be proving not only the same services, but even more. With support for video and location based service, TuneWiki is ready to be your first and only media player. Wanna find out who’s listening to similar music to you? Care to see what other people in your area are jamming out to? You’ll be able to. Watch the video below and the head on over to their site to see it working within an emulator.  We’re most anxious to see what they have cooking with the location-based features.

  1. Whoa. Awesome! Location aware PMP. That’s got off the chart revenue potential. I will go over to the site and beg them to support FireEagle ( http://fireeagle.yahoo.net ). Speaking of which, any readers of this blog who are developing location aware apps for Android, who need a FireEagle invite, hit me up, I will get you one to test your app with.
