YAP Inc’s Voice To Text Is SMS Evolved

Written by Jamie Hunter • Mar 13th, 2008 • Category: Recent News, Related News

A small company called Yap, Inc is going to be releasing a program that allows you to dictate text messages to your handset allowing you to send texts with a nominal amount of key strokes. While we don’t advocate the practice of sending and receiving text messages and emails while driving, we do know that people will do what they want to do, so this seems like a perfect compromise.

If you’ve listened to any of our podcasts you know Android Guys have been clamoring for an app like this for a long time! Here’s a video of Yap’s little gem in action on an undisclosed handset and OS. You can also register for launch updates on that same page. If anyone knows what handset and OS it’s running on clue us in. We will be keeping an eye on this app, and hope its coming to a handset near you.

  1. Jamie, appreciate the mention: that was running on an AT&T Motorola Razr2 V9…it was the J2ME version of Yap.
